Jordyn Winger

While growing up in a small community in rural Ontario, Jordyn discovered her passion, ability, and drive for dancing at a young age. Jordyn began gymnastics training at the age of 3, and used those skills to assist her transition into competitive dancing, where she discovered her life-long passion. Jordyn’s dance journey began at the Lisa Naves Dance Company, where she trained and competed in various disciples of dance, including contemporary, acrobatics, jazz, ballet, lyrical, hip-hop, and more. Throughout her training, Jordyn attended many master classes and workshops, studying under numerous well renowned choreographers, as well as received several scholarships, overall achievements, and titles for her dancing. Her journey brought her to the Conteur Academy, where she completed her post-secondary training under the direction of Eryn Waltman and in collaboration with several reputable instructors. There, she underwent intense training in all areas of dance and choreography, with a focus on contemporary dance. She had the opportunity to perform works by Alyssa Martin, Colleen Snell, and David Northsworthy in The Academy’s “Fill in the Blanks” presentation with her graduating class. She also holds a module 1 certification with Acrobatic Arts. Jordyn is now sharing her expertise and artistry of all genres across the whole of Ontario. Currently, she showcases her love of the art through choreography at multiple studios, as well as enjoys inspiring students of all ages through her teaching.
